Yes this is my process - take something change it, change it, and change it more.
So am trained to do that, it's not just a natural inclination. I wondered why it was such a strong impulse one I didn’t quite fathom.
Raising my daughters I observed their curiosity; they made a noise and it changed the air around as the sound resonated. It stopped they repeated it and laughed. As they grew, I watched them painting, drawing, singing and cooking. Everything was about changing things, often I marvelled at the results and sometimes I didn’t. Not everything was a success, but every time they did something that changed from one thing to another, they learnt and remembered .....or not. Reinforcing the process with research is a splendid addition to the process and adds a collaborative element in the case of secondary research or a very enjoyable play with an idea- or on the best occasions goo- if it is primary. I am particularly fond of the slogan, Make, Reflect, Research, Repeat, which has become my mantra in the last couple on months.
