“Its all about respect.” one person said “respect yourself as well as others.” I was really touched buy the humanity, love, and beauty I saw in this exhibition. It could have been aggressive, they could have been angry, instead they showed their beauty in adversity and celebrated being alive, or having lived. The images created and collected show connections and are almost like a quilted/jigsaw of pictures, a synergistic collection that when viewed as a whole informs us of their identity, I watched the videos and felt their laughter, pain, and joys. Stories of love, life, betrayal, and hope.
I took the boat home on the river I was born next too and felt reconnected to my world.
