Unit 3 - Reflection - Women as the gate keeper to domestic magic and a happy life.

Although I belive in equality, I also up hold a belief that ‘domestic magic’ and the understanding of balance holds the key to human happiness and I uphold my garandmother advice to to live life, not to worry or you just wont have time for a life.

All very noble sentiments but the big question of the moment is how.

Their was a plan -

Alan de button talks about Art and Cultures hoped for Purpose as religions popularity declined And the problem of the artist in attic approach.

He does this, and presents himself, in an entertaining way, almost like the Jester in the courts of - he is very open about the necessity of appealing to your audience, hooking them and keep them.

Arts Arrangement, composition methodologies, materials and context rule it its outcome.

I belive that Art should raise questions, prod and poke us, nicely or in what ever what ever way we seek, but leave us changed, not greatly but just enough to remind us about things we should consider.

My audience are those who like beauty home and hearth, those who maybe find some of the more brutal art pieces that hit us between theyes with viseral war torn images and rench our heats from our chests too much to deal with.

By leaving a question a hook …. Why is it not finished… whats that….. ooo I know that bit……the piece becomes a game of sort, fun, a way of asking politely for attention.

I am present in the piece, a guide of sorts, sinergitically using objects of meaning as metaphors to raise a question or curiosity around a subject that I have responded to.

The balance is key, I feel the audiences response is important for them to start to think about what I am asking, I am wondering how I may gather it, not for me to listen to but for them to say, be heard.

confusious suggests that to to see is forgettable, to say again or listen again not formative but to do both these and then do is a process that leads to learning.

I need to give my audience a vioce, not unlike the confessional, or the therapist a bouncing board a link to a place to leave their voice.
